Greenpeace global CTO, Priscilla Chomba, shares how to design for digital inclusion
Greenpeace is the largest environmental organization in the world with over 3 million members. Living in Nairobi, Priscilla Chomba-Kinywa is their global CTO. She also shaped tech at UNICEF, the World Food Programme, and ActionAid. Many of the communities she works with don’t speak tech. Priscilla is their tech translator, helping them access our modern digital world. Discover how to design with collectives in mind, working towards digital inclusion.
According to the UN, more than a third of the world's population, have never used the internet. In 2020, in Africa alone half the population had no access to the internet. Why should this concern you? Because a fair and free internet benefits us all. Access to global technologies can save lives. It helps people thrive; to live to their full potential. And it empowers collectives to speak out, to rise up, to resist. To help us all do better as a species.
